Works with Adobe Premiere Pro 2026
FocusTracks
Focus on one role. Lock or mute the rest.
An Adobe Premiere Pro extension. Tag each track once as dialogue, SFX, music, mix, A-roll, B-roll or GFX. Then lock or mute a whole role with one click or one key.
Two jobs, one panel
A switch at the top of the panel picks what the buttons do. Same roles, same Focus button, two different jobs.
Cut without collateral damage
- Layer music without nudging a single line of dialogue.
- Trim B-roll without touching your interview.
- Ripple-delete in one role and leave the rest exactly where it was.
Hear and see only what matters
- Audition the music bed on its own.
- Check your SFX pass without the dialogue on top.
- Watch the B-roll with the A-roll hidden.
How it works
Set it up once per sequence. After that it's one key.
Tag your tracks
Click a role on each track, or name your tracks Dialogue, SFX, Music and so on and let Focus Tracks fill them in. Music from your stems bin is suggested for you.
Pick Lock or Mute
Lock protects tracks from edits. Mute silences audio and hides video. Press L or M to switch.
Focus
Focus on a role and everything else of that kind locks or mutes. Press it again to bring it all back.
Audio roles
Video roles
Keyboard shortcuts
Click into the panel, then use these. Every key works in the current mode. Press ? in the panel for the cheat sheet.

Questions
Does it change my edit?
No. It only locks, mutes or hides tracks, and saves each track's role in the sequence. Your clips are never touched.
Does Mute mode change my mix?
No. It flips the same mute and track output buttons you'd click in the timeline. Unmute and everything sounds exactly as before.
What if I add or delete tracks?
Roles stay with the right tracks. New tracks get a suggested role based on their name or what's on them.
Which versions of Premiere Pro?
It's built and tested on Premiere Pro 2026. Earlier versions back to 2022 may work but haven't been tested yet.
Mac or Windows?
It's tested on Mac. Windows support is coming.
Is it saved with my project?
Yes. Roles are stored in each sequence, so they're there when you reopen the project or hand it off.
